Where to learn about agents

The October issue of Writer’s Digest focuses on agents, but other articles look at grammar in depth, with examples, which I always find helpful. And there’s an article on figurative language, which includes similes, metaphors, analogies, hyberbole (which people use a lot!), and more–again with examples. (You’ll have to study metonymy to get a handle on that. I never heard of it.)
